Default New Mechatronics Unit

Fortunately, I bought an extended warranty because our transmission repair bill exceeded $17 large. The repair, while fraught with ridiculous delays caused by our local service department AND the warranty company, took 5 weeks for completion. The car now runs fine and that "clunk" is gone. However, when I got my car back, it became clear rather quickly that the ignition wasn't right... it took 2 pushes of the start/stop button to start the car. Same held true when I pushed the key in to activate the ignition system. SO, I brought the car back and after 2 days, I was told that its a KNOWN issue that the mechatronic system doesn't fully communicate with the ignition, and there's NO KNOWN FIX. It BLOWS MY MIND that Audi would release a system that is NOT fully functional. Of course, its not a big deal that I have to push the button/key twice, but what IS a big deal, is that I have a $70,000 car that doesn't work right AFTER a $17000 repair AND AUDI released a NEW mechatronic system that doesn't work right. THAT IS INSANE!!! I have lost respect for this company. WHAT A FREAKING JOKE!!!
