my car started making some weird clicking/tapping noise out of the blue. (2013 A5 2.0t 6SPD manual) no idea whats wrong, going to dealership tomorrow tho to see whats up. anyone have any thoughts? will post a link to youtube so you guys can hear. also new to forum, thanks for any help. will update once i have answer as well.

yea no idea whats up, thanks for the replys. dropped the car off today and picked up my loaner. will update when they tell me whats wrong

sorry for the late reply.

"tech found the rockers not in place when looking through oil cap. tech removed valve cover. found two lifters came off intake cam and slid into valve cover also damaging exhaust cam adjuster.
tech replaced camshaft and lifters. reinstalled parts, performed oil change. performed road test. no faults returned"

So whatever the hell that means. main thing- warranty covered. they said it coulda been a manufacturers defect or a overrev, but no way to know exactly what. honestly, pretty disappointed. i feel like i have to be very careful with it now. Most likely selling it in December and picking up a 428xi
