No oil Warning Light but electronic meter empty?
I have a 2010 Audi S-line A5 211BHP coupe. I bought it 3 weeks ago & its still under garage 6 month warranty.
I have just checked the oil electronic gauge and its absolutely empty - however theres no warning light? Or no text on that screen? Any ideas? I'm scared to fill it up with petrol incase i over fill it?
please advise!

I would expect the indicator to be a facsimile of an old fashioned dip-stick, in that one quart will take you from the bottom of that indicator to the top of the indicator. You should be safe in adding a quarter of a quart of oil and re-checking the level. Then adding another quarter of a quart, if necessary, etc...
If you're certain it was full three weeks ago when you purchased it, perhaps there is another problem?
The 2.0T from this era did have an oil consumption issue, and Audi was fixing these under warranty.

D, welcome aboard!
Don't pour petrol in the engine's crankcase for starters.
The MMI oil display gage can show empty and not give the warning message. It's got to go a bit below that "0" reference mark on the MMI prior to triggering the text message that shows in the DIS display.
Why not purchase 1L of oil and put half in and see where it shows on the MMI display? It takes a couple days for it to register in the system.
You need 502.00 or 504.00 oil spec.
The 211hp 4 cyl engine has widely recognized oil consumption issues.
Cheers!

Why don't you buy a dipstick and learn to use it?

Here's one source to start with:
AudiEnthusiasts Master
It also has the advantage of being able to change your oil from above the engine with a sucker.
