No RS 5s for 2016!!
As you know, I was planning on ordering my RS5 while on leave from my deployment this spring. But was just told by one dealer I've been talking with that I need to place my order by early March as all production for the RS5 will stop... Has anyone else heard this?

Yes, the RS5 for the US was only planned as a 2-3 year run. Even the 2015 wasn't a 100% from the beginning. Audi will introduce the new A5/S5 later this year for the European markets and RS production will be stopped until and if there is a new RS5.

My local dealer still has some 2015s in their pipeline that have not yet entered production. If you want one this summer, you may still be able to customize a 2015 in a dealer's pipeline if you act soon.

You can bet your bottom that 4.2V8 will be gone with the next iteration. Audi has to make this car come out and literally stomp all over BMW, and to do that, they have to drop 200-300 lbs., add 50+ HP, reduce the front weight bias and give the car 10-20% more efficiency.
I'm looking forward to seeing what they can come up with...

While the torque number s for the V8 and V6SC are very close (317 lb-ft and 325 lb-ft, respectively) the available range is much better for the V6SC. The torque range for the V8 is 4000-6000 RPM where it is 2900-5300 RPM for the V6SC.
