Odd S5 Coupe/Cab Differences
Noticed a few differences between my 2013 Cab and 2017 Coupe that don't make sense to me.
- The door pockets in my Cab extended all the way down and back to the rear. The Coupe has a box shaped shelf at the rear, so I lost a lot of storage space in each door.
- The shelf area in the trunk, right side rear, of my Cab came with a net that allowed it to be used as storage space. I used it for a quart of oil, flashlight, tire gauge, etc. No net in my Coupe, so it's just wasted space.
I also found a large ski bag in my trunk. It's very nice, has Audi imprinted on it, and is for storing skis and poles that can be placed through the rear seat opening. I didn't order it, and it's not on my invoice. Wouldn't think it's a standard equipment item?

Can't comment on the first two, as only have the cab. But there are various storage options in Europe which can affect when you do, and don't, get netting. The ski bag is part of load-through option in the centre of rear seats, PR code is 3X2. They are great ski bags

Here in Canada, the Coupe gets the netting for the right hand cubby in the trunk. In Europe, it is part of the Storage Package. Why Audi USA decided not to include the trunk storage net is a mystery to me. Another stupid decision by Audi USA/Canada bigwigs is the deletion of front parking sensors in the A5/S5. All the other models have it but not the A5's/S5's. For a car of this calibre, it is an unusual move not to include it.
Another missing Storage Package item in the US S5 are the grocery hooks in the trunk. They're port-installed options. In Canada, they come standard along with other items under the Storage Package which is also standard.
As Glisse said above, the ski bags are part of the load-through package which includes the rear seat ski pass-thru and the ski bag. My Canadian S5 came with it too.

What's really odd is the 2017 A5 sitting in my dealer showroom has front parking sensors, yet my 2017 S5 doesn't. WTF?!

I believe Audi made it available for the 2017 A5. I am with you on that when you said, WTF!
