Hi Can anyone guide me how to open Convertible roof from Key Fob for 2014 A5. I have VAG COM. I know this has been discussed before, but I cannot find the reference. Thanks

i have been trying to do that for 1 year now on my 2010, I believe you have to have the audi keyless system(pushbutton start)
i do not have this set up. but was running it down in the vag com with no results. I cant even get the windows to drop by key fob

These guys are going back and forth on this. They are mostly Europeans and Euro Audi's might be spec'd different. I don't have a cab, and therefore stopped reading after page one of five. Those with cabs might want to continue reading.

Best alernative is SmartTop. Google it and you'll find that SmartTop allows you to open or close your cab with the key fob.

Thanks all for the responses. Yes I think SmartTop might be a great alternative.
If I decide on this approach, Ill update this thread.

Thanks !!! Went thru all the posts and found it.
If you have keyless start it can be done via VCD. It took me less than 1 hr.

Check my video with step by step instructions on YouTube comment section Yehhhh Boy ! ...saved me $299 on third party option.

Many thanks for figuring out and sharing this discovery with the rest of us. I knew the module is already there and it is only a matter of figuring out how to make the change, which is the most difficult part. I will share this with the other Audi forums. Thanks !!!

BTW, I can confirm that this works for B8 cars as well since I have a B8 and OP has a B8.5.

Stang the open and close windows is part of this tweek, steps 1-6 in the comment section of my YouTube video. If you have the VAG COM, you can def get that to work.
