Hello, my phone is connected by Bluetooth and it doesn't beep. The phone only vibrates. I would think the beep would be channeled through the speakers. Anyone had issues with this?

Most phones when connected to Bluetooth Audio send all audio including notification sounds over Bluetooth Audio. However, in order to hear it through the speakers, the MMI needs to be on Media with Bluetooth as the current audio source.

Bluetooth Audio is different from Bluetooth Handsfree. Bluetooth Audio does not interrupt your current audio source, whereas Bluetooth Handsfree does, so you can receive a phone call regardless of what you are currently listening to.

You can disable Bluetooth Audio in the MMI settings. Go to the Bluetooth settings and turn of "Bluetooth Media Player". However, then you won't be able to stream any music to the MMI over Bluetooth, either.

What kind of phone do you have? Pretty much all smartphones these days can announce incoming text messages through Speech. They leverage Bluetooth Handsfree for that, so as soon as the phone receives a text message, a voice comes on over the speakers and you can have it read the text message and reply to it.

Thank you. I have an iphone5. Send by text is, I think, a solution. I will see if I can do this with the iphone5.
