I finally gave up on replacing my S5 grille with an RS5 grille. The OEM RS5 grille costs about $925 USD. And to be honest, would make my car more like the recent all black grilles that Audi is putting on every car from A3 to S8.

I am really upset with Audi. When I bought my 2012 S5 I had a unique car. In mid 2014, all I see in Northern Virginia area are Audi's- that all look alike.

I am beginning to regret the Audi purchase. I see fewer BMW M3's than S5's. Truly disheartening. Someday Audi will be a Harvard Business School case study- on how to gain and then lose your luxury cachet. Making the new 2014 A3 in a style that devalues the more expensive Audi's- and flooding the market with Q5's makes my stomach turn.

Audi are more than a pretty face - but if you only care about what is skin deep then you need therapy

That is why I sold my 2012 S-5 and got a 2013 RS-5...don't see many around.

Exactly. Audi is a great engineered auto. A rare blend of style & performance.
Also, many owners who live for the day to modify their Audi might not realize that by doing so you actually REDUCE the value of your car to the rest of the world. Many buyers of the car, when you're done with it, look at a "modified" car as a car driven hard, pushed beyond normal driving habits and are completely turned off by that. I for one would never buy a used modified performance enhanced car. No thank you.

Frankly, that RS5 looks hideous. This photo has been going around on other forums and is pretty much universally disliked. An RS5 is not some boy racer Honda Civic.

Back to the original question. Here is how you make your A5 look like an RS5. You sell it and buy an RS5. Don't pretend your car to be something it's not.

Modify, collect and keep for ever is also an option.

Not seeing yourself on every street corner does have value- at least to me. I don't drink kool aid- so I don't accept every move made by Audi to be a correct one.

Indeed. However, engine performance mods are not needed on an already sweet performer. Get a nice set of aggressive looking rims and tires and your Audi will look and perform much, much different from totally stock looking A5,S5.

My current rims get tons of compliments, as they expose the painted S5 calipers and cross drilled and slotted rotors. And they make an already nice muscular looking car, look more muscular, mean and aggressive.
