Valentine One interference
After doing much research, and trying every trick out there, I resorted to pulling the Side Assist fuse for my 2013 S5.
Here is the situation:
I have three radar detectors:
New Valentine One running hardware version 1.85 and 3.893 firmware.
Older Valentine One hardware is 1.8 and firmware is 3.873
Newer BEL 995
On the new V1, I disabled J (POP Radar) without much improvement, I disabled t (Traffic Filter) without much improvement. I disabled both and still not much improvement.
On the older V1, I disabled J with the same results as the new one. T is not an option with the older firmware.
It seems that with the options turned off, both V1s are fine until I get a false on K band coming out an automated door or such but when driving away, the V1 picks up the K false from the Side assist and it lingers until you power cycle the V1, then it is fine until you get another K false from an external source.
This happens when the SA button is on or off.
If I pull fuse A11 from the drivers side cockpit to disable the SA, everything is fine.
As for my BEL 995, I turn POP off and all is fine, completely fine.
Has anyone run into this?
