Seat solution
Had the same problem with a Honda CRZ commute car I had. A half hour behind the wheel was killing my back. I was thinking of selling the car until someone suggested a memory foam cushion from Orego Aero. They make cushions for pilots. Although the 2" cushion was around $200, it was money well spent. Not only did it enable me to keep the car, I also use the cushion for airline travel, sporting events and concerts. I often sit on it in front of the fireplace on my hearth in the winter. I have used it for over 4 years now and it still looks new. These are very well made. I will most likely get the 1" cushion when this one wears out. Hope this helps.

I traded an A5 with the Comfort Package (cabriolet) for an S5 with the standard sport seats. Hated them. I traded the car back in right away and went back to the comfort seats. Expensive mistake but you can't enjoy a car that makes you hurt.

Interesting to read these comments. I had a '10 S5 Cab and an '11 S5 Cab, both with the Sport Seats, and I found them very comfortable. I'm 5'8", 160 lbs. so maybe that is the right formula! I'm actually looking to get back into a '15 S5 after 3 years with my Lexus GS350 F Sport. Love the Lexus, but miss the personal feeling of a coupe.

Seats on our new RS5 are comfortable. 6.5 hour trip. No problems.
Wish I could say the same for our Porsche. After 2 hours it is painful. My wife has no problems with either car. We are all different.

I have a 2014 A5 with the sport seats and my problem is that after about 15 minutes of driving I start feeling fatigue in my right leg. I thought it was a pressure point in the seat cushion pushing into the back of my leg. I adjusted the seat every way possible but the problem persists. Has anybody else felt this and if so, any solutions?

I'm just weighing back in on this thread since I've had my S5 for a couple of weeks. The seats in my '13 Lexus GS F Sport were always comfortable with great support. The sport seats in my S5 took a bit of adjusting but now they are also very comfortable. I had an A5 loaner today with the standard seats and they hurt my back. Too short and not nearly enough back/thigh support. I have no issues with the S5 seats.
