are these rotors ok to buy for my 2010 a5?
im selling the car soon so i dont want to get crazy and spend a ton on nice stuff
steering wheel shaking while braking but ceramic pads still have 50% life left, do i need to replace them too?

Default I would just re-bed the pads before new rotors.

Take the car out somewhere where you can do half a dozen 70 mph to 30 mph hard brake applications with 10-20 seconds between, then drive the car gently and see if the brake shudder doesn't go away. Chances are you just have uneven pad material buildup. Brakes have to be USED or they will get fuzzy.

He's right. You shouldn't need rotors yet, but with that said, if you can't clean them up by re-bedding in everything, you either need to get them turned, or replaced.

A more aggressive pad (aka, a race pad) will typically clean up a dirty rotor because of how abrasive it is at cold temperatures, but if you don't change your pads and you have some uneven build up on the rotors, then you might be stuck because the same pads (typically) won't clean up their own residue.

I have to confess I went through this last year. I already had wobble and needed to do my pads, so I said f**k it and replaced the rotors also. It wasn't much more work while I had the wheels off (and I'm an idiot who can afford to replace his rotors to get rid of wobble during braking).

If sloops suggestion doesn't pan out, just have them turned lightly at any brake shop to have the pad build-up removed and then do a proper bedding in process directly after.
Are you sure your steering wheel vibrations aren't also attributed (in a small way) to faulty front lower control arm issues? There's TSB's out on this.
