Default thinking of converting

Hey everyone,
Currently I drive an '04 Infiniti G35 coupe 6MT with just regular bolt-ons and suspension upgrades. Im really looking into a local 2010 Audi A5 Premium 6MT with 56k miles for 24k. I'm basically looking for any info you guys can give me on what to look out for or expect on these cars. What are the normal issues that are found? Also im really torn on if I want to move away from the V6 and go back to a 4 cyl...
Any input you guys have, go ahead and throw it at me.
Thanks

My wife owned a 2010 A5 with a manual tranny, and it had outstanding quality. She only had one minor problem which occurred after the expiration of the factory warranty. I can't recall what the issue was but I believe that the repair cost her about $300. She traded her car for another Audi A5 so she certainly likes the brand. Nevertheless, I'd definitely recommend a CPO car with the 100K factory warranty. They cost more, but the peace of mind is worth it.

Just yesterday I was browsing a Consumer Reports issue that showed the 2010 A5/S5 as being a year to avoid. I believe its the car issue about which used cars are ok to purchase and which ones to avoid. I'd look at that issue to see particularly what they mention.

If its the 3.2 V6 on the A5, you'll have to be aware of Carbon Build-up. We have a similar 2010 3.2 in our Q5 and our carbon build-up warranty has been extended to 10 years or 120k.

If I believed everything Consumer Reports had published in the last 40 years, I'd have owned 40 years of lemons, and I haven't owned a single lemon yet.

Any early model direct injection motor from Ford, GM, BMW, MB, Audi, etc... will have carbon build-up issues regardless of the manufacturer or powerplant.

My 2010 S5 has been trouble free for the 2+ years I've owned it (I'm the third owner).

YMMV. Good luck and try not to believe everything you read on the interwebs...

The 2010 S5 had a problem with a plastic water pump housing; since replaced by tech bulletin. Because of this CR was down on the 2010 A5/S5 model. Aside from that my 2010 S5 Cab and now my 2011 S5 Cab was/has been flawless.

For what it's worth to you, I bought new a 2003 Infiniti FX-35 and had it serviced RELIGIOUSLY at the Dealer, drove it for 7 years, 167,000 mi. I ordered my first Audi, my S5 Cab. in Feb. 2011, while waiting for delivery my Infiniti started to overheat repeatedly, after 3 Dealer visits they found cracks in the cyl. heads and engine block both, and both aluminum. The Dealer said it was just bad luck.
Wonderful.
Since owning my 2011 Audi S5 Cab. I would never buy another piece of Jap Junk.
You know, the day I ordered my Audi the salesman said. "Sir, once you own this Audi you will NEVER own anything else".
You know what ?

He was absolutely correct..............I WON'T !!! I love this Audi beyond any words the English language has to offer.

End of story.

I just purchased a 2010 A5.
I don't know how I ever lived without it... haha. Love it more than anything else in the world. Mind you, it's only been 2 days.
I'm just going to keep an eye for oil consumption.

Previously had a Mitsubishi Lancer.
