Porsche still makes manuals for most cars. But like most manufacturers the high horsepower models its not an option.

We bought the 2014 S4 precisely for the manual. My wife wont drive anything but a manual. And she wont even discuss trading her Boxster S.

I got a 2015 RS5. Only comes with dct but i wanted something different for my winter dd. please note the 2016 now has a turbo. The na V8 is history.

A huge advantage of dct is supposedly they last for the life of the car.

I have to say the manual makes the driver feel more like he is one with the machine. It responds well to great driving and reveals driving mistakes without fail.

On the other hand it is almost impossible to make a mistake with dct. Hard to miss a shift that could end you up in a ditch.

I like them both. Nice to be able to enjoy the variety of both choices.

And the Rs5 must be driven in manual mode. Automatic sucks IMVHO. THE RS5 engine revs so fast between gears it would be difficult to make optimal upshifts...but not impossible.
