Audi Option (AO) Pirelli P-Zero 275/30/20. I've read somewhere that the compound is different for the AO P-Zero vs the regular P-Zero. For most tires, the car mfg designation is just marketing, but on some higher-end performance models the compound is indeed different. TireRack carries the AO version, so I've been using them for replacement so far.

I have the 275/30/20 P Zeros too, but they are an R01 designation.

Yes, to be correct, the designation is RO1 and not AO. AO is Audi and RO1 is the Quattro Gmbh designation.

Doing some more research, looks like the RO1 P Zero is quite a bit different from the standard P Zero. It's not just the compound, but also the construction. For example the RO1 has narrow shoulders.

My RS5 came with Toyo Proxes marked AO. Wore out after 22k and replaced with Michelin Pilot Sport marked NO. Work just fine.

Havent seen different brand

Default I Don't Know

I ordered Mich Pilot SS All Weather High performance Radials.

Did not want the hassle of swapping tires. This is my winter daily driver. Very pleased. No problems in snow, rain or dry. They handle great.

Dealer swapped them for me.

I've also seen brand new cars with Bridgestone Potenzas and Dunlop Sport Maxx tyres on the 20" wheels.

As mentioned above though, mine had the P Zeros as OE fitment.

This is in Australia though, so other parts of the world with harsher climates might have had other OE fitment tyres in place of the above.
