why so many low mile RS5 for sale
Been considering trading my '14 S6 for an RS5. After a little research I'm wondering why it's so easy to find a pre-owned RS5 with very low miles. Anyone have ideas on why this would be the case?

I'm guessing people don't like V6s.
No V8, no sale.

No, sadly it may be due to the economy and folks needing financial relief. When times turn bad the last thing you need is a $900 car payment.

Not sure how the V6 entered the discussion. Both the S6 and RS5 have V8s. I have two guesses.
1. 2-year lease returns
2. Folks are trading in the RS5 for an RS7.

Checkout the same thing with R8’s. I suspect people with the money for a “toy” have the money to get a new one whenever they want. Since this kind of car is usually just one of several in the stable it does not get many miles put on it. Also, some things seem better when you lust after it then they do after you have it. I get the urge to get a super nice car every once and a while then I think if the effort it takes to protect a “special” car from other drivers, thieves and petty vandals. Anything I buy is my daily driver and that puts enough pressure on me whenever I have to park it in a public street or lot.

I had just the opposite problem. I could only find one RS5 for sale in the state (Colorado). It was a 2013 with 20k miles and was the manager of the dealership personal car.

Not sure I agree the thrill wears off quickly. The first nice car I had was a Boxster S and I ordered it to my liking, it was a beautiful car and everytime I drove it was a fine time. I had the car for 4 years.
The RS5 is a very special car and I do think this will be the same for me and even better as I will be able to drive it year-round.

They needed 8 months to get me an ordered one whereas I got a better deal and 4 months elsewhere. I would be getting the car next month and winter would be about over!
