audi A5 coupe 2.0 diesel 2013
hi all first time posting, so if this thread already exists please feel free to send me there.
the engine management came on in early November with the fault code P219600 (lambda sensor). So I deleted and didn't think of in again until 3 days ago when it flashed on again, I do the same again read the fault codes and P2196 (O2 sensor). I deleted this and went on a long drive to see if the fault came bank on again which it did. read fault codes again and found the its bank to the lambda sensor fault. did a bit of digging on line and found that both sensors run on the same circuit. my question is without spending £300 on 2 sensors can I test each one separately?
What readings should I expect to find?
and are these fault codes probably linked?
I'm assuming that if possible to test these will be in OHMS.
Thanks in advance

I wish we could get the diesel A5 here in the U.S. I drove one around for a week last time I was in Europe and loved the vehicle.
As for testing. Is it a dual o2 sensor setup? If so maybe move the O2 sensors from one side to the other and see if the code follows the sensor. If it does then the sensor would be suspect, if not I'd start looking at a wiring problem.

Have you googled how to test an 02 sensor?

I'm not familiar with Audi TDI engines (didn't know they had 02 sensors but it seems logical if they have particulate filters and liquid nitrogen injection or some other means of cleaning the filters) but for gas engines there are two per side of the cat(s)...the rear sensor to the cat simply measures cat efficiency and is often the problem with an EMS light, ergo the antifouler trick.
