Default Audi Connect - Any Better Options for 2014 model?

My six month trial finally wore out, and it was 'just' useful enough I was wondering if there was a better option than $30 a month.

I don't want to prepay ,because it's not that great. I don't use it enough to pay that much.

I have a mobile share plan with AT&T. I think they'd charge me $10 a month to add the car, but I don't know if it'll work at all. I don't care about LTE speeds just want to keep the google maps updated occasionally and stuff like that.

Anyone had any luck doing anything different?

You can tether your mmi Audi connect to your smartphone hotspot and on any carrier. Here is the mod. I got my13 S5 fully functional with my hotspot.
Audi 3GP MMI Onlineservices via Tethering
