You do realize you are responding to posts from 2012, right? I almost did the same thing, so no worries. So, we'll talk to each other.
I found the B&O system in my S5 to be good, not great. I recently traded my S5 coupe for a '17 A4 and the B&O system is outstanding. It is 700+ watts playing in a car with a larger interior so the sound is more enveloping and clear. I'm sure that is why the B&O system in your Q5 is better. It all has to do with the acoustics.

Ha, that wouldn't be the first time. Truthfully, I think I somehow got on the wrong thread. And that wouldn't be the first time either. I was in the Q5 forum reading about whether the B&O was worth getting but somehow managed to get my response on this A5 thread.
