Default Question about Google maps Nav

I know that when turning on the traffic info in the setting menu, you see green when traffic is flowing. But there is a "baseline" colored street lines... red and yellow. What do they mean?

The type of road. Blue is highway, yellow I think is major thoroughfare and red are main roads and white are side roads. I might be mixing up the colors and not have the categorization quite right, but that's in essence what it means.

Pretty close. As determined by NavTeq, (the Audi MMI Nav Plus map screen in North America), Blue = Interstate/limited access highways, Red= major roads, Yellow = main streets, White = minor streets. If you are navigating to a destination, the route is shown as an overlaid, light blue line over all roads of the route. Traffic overlays for interstates and some major roads may show lines in green (no traffic), orange (slowed traffic) or red (stopped or stop & go traffic) adjacent and outside of each road's direction.

Traffic incident like accidents, disabled vehicles etc. Go to the info screen to see all traffic incidents with more details in your area.

does it show traffic if you do not set a navigation route?

if yes then, how would you tell the difference between red that is major street and red that is stopped traffic.

Yes, it does. The traffic flow is indicated parallel to the road for each direction like in the following image. Couldn't find one with stop&go traffic, but notice the green along the major street on the left. With stop&go traffic it kinda looks like a three lane road for the sections with stop&go traffic.

Default Another question about the Nav/Google Maps

The manual says it stores up to 2GB. But...

1) How often does it updates? Any chance to check when it was updated? (like normal software in a computer)

2) And how does it work with the regular navigation? maps are constantly updating also?

3) Any way of checking the status of all these things? (including the amount of memory used)

Thanks...
