I wanted to post the outcome of this rusting issue. I understand that everyone has different experiences with all manufacturers, but Audi has turned me off ever buying another one. Not saying anything wrong with the vehicles but the service in Canada for me with 2 different late model Audi's have been more than disappointing.

I will not go on & on but post that I had a 2014 A6 3.0 every option S-line and the brakes started vibrating at 13 months old. Audi told me too bad, the warranty is 12 months. The car had about 14,000KM, but I don't remember exact. The only excuse they gave me was that they must have been hot and then drove it on a wet road. Ummm I would think every vehicle in the world does that?

My 2014 RS5 stated rusting on both rear fenders and as I previously wrote, the dealership tried excuses like I drove it a couple of times in the winter and the tires are wider on the RS than regular models.

They took pictures and told me to go get an estimate for the repairs. The estimate was $2,200 (CND $). FINALLY after 18 WEEKS! Audi Canada approved the repairs. 18 weeks to get an answer!? That was only after many emails and phone calls to them trying to get an answer.

Last thing I will add regarding the terrible experience I have had with my 2 Audis is that I have a winter beater which is my 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe SUV. It has 130,000KM on it and I just had the front struts replaced ($800 job) replaced for free under warranty, no questions asked the same day I took it in for the issue a month ago.
Hope you have better luck with Audi service than I did, but I sold the RS and will go boring but reliable Lexus. Looking at the GS F or RC F....
