I'm not sure if there are any real differences between the two model years. My issue is that I drive at least 20k miles per year. A brand new car sounds very nice to me. On the other hand, if I get a model year older, with say, 10k miles on it, for at least $10k less than a new one, I'll not only save money, obviously but I'll end up with a longer warranty period. The other issue is that I really want that awesome blue color and it's impossible to find one used and not that easy for a new one either.
And, I'm also finding it very difficult to find an Audi dealer, so that it's CPO'd, with a 2014 S5 Cabriolet anywhere near me (Chicago). Dilemma...

To my knowledge, there are no differences in the two model years. Even the great Titanium wheels that come with the Black Optic package are offered on the '14 model. There are several '14 S5 Cabs on Autotrader with very few miles. Of course, none of them are probably Sepang Blue. There is a '15 Sepang Blue Cab on Auto Trader, so it is available. If you can get into a '14 model with approx. 5,000 miles and save $10,000 that might be the way to go.
