Clearly you haven't seen this weeks Grand Tour yet.

I am not a fan of the lower/wider/more angular grille.
What about the S5 Sportback? I am not a fan of the B9 coupe styling compared to that of the B8, but I think the Sportback has a wonderful profile and is unique compared to anything Audi has released in the US, excluding the A7. Also, all reports indicate that the B9 handles significantly better than the B8, so the driving experience will be improved.

Believe me, i LOVE the A/S/RS7 car (great autobahn car), and I think the S5 Sportback has, what did Keogh say "This car has a stunning line, stunning hips and a stunning rear"... But is the FRONT that some of us are objecting to. That said... I do like what I am hearing about the new platform and tighter front end... And two more MPG's on the highway. Progress.

Plus, with two other B8 era cars, it is nice to get in and out of the same driving/MMI interfaces. I think my other half would be overwhelmed navigating the virtual cockpit interface.

I went from a quick $10k electric option... To $40k CPO... To $58k "new"... I can't get to $65+k "future" - if that's what a nicely optioned B9 S5 will be.

Default Smooth ride

I drive the autobahn daily in a 2015 S5 Prestige with AWE S-Flo carbon intake, and AWE stage 2 performance kit. The ride is comfortable, quiet, and I run down Porsches regularly. Though you won't have the Prestige upgrades, I think you would be plenty happy with the 2014 S5.

OK, settled.... If you must know, I went for "F" and "D"... That is, I did the right thing and paid off the house, and THEN bought the 2017 TTS. (post here) It has been nice knowing ya, A5/S5/RS5 group... but I am off to the TT MkIII forum! Hopefully our paths will cross again in a few years from now, if I tire of the 6 speed TTS, and when the S5 comes with Black Optic!

But, my parting gift for you are some photo's of the new A5 taken at the Portland Oregon Auto Show! It is a pretty sweet car!

That new B9 S5 is growing on me. Very attractive car. Whether I would miss the Manual trans and the supercharged engine's instant punch??? Not sure.
I still I enjoy my TT that I have had for 15 years. You'll like this new one. There is something that is hard to measure that makes the TT ( all three generations) more enjoyable the longer you have it and drive it. That is why I keep my 16 year old one around. It makes me smile. And it does quite well at the track too. Surprises guys in Mustangs and M3s (and sometimes Caymans but that is harder &#128521
Enjoy the new one. Back when ours was newer my wife and I did lots of long road trips in it. Suggest you do that too. Good times.

Congrats! I recently picked up a CPO 2014 S5 and love it! I have two young boys (6, 8) and it's been great. Still have my 04 A6 Avant (deciding what to do with it) and wife has a Pilot for big family needs.

Have fun in the TTS!
