I was having lunch today and decided to check-out the Audi Canada website. Lo and behold, the configurator for the 2018 B9 A5 & S5 Coupe, Sportback, and Cabriolet are up and running. Check it out and have fun with the configurator!

That's great.... Now I don't have to suffer through trying to configure this car in German... (on the German site). But! Still no Black Optics though! (Small freak out happening.) :-)

Ha, ha! I did the same thing and I am glad, like you but quickly moved over to the Audi UK website once their configurator for the B9 A5/S5 went live.

Yes, i've been following the launch of this car across the globe. Germany, UK... and now Canada.

Still trying to decide whether to pick up one of the last 7 Glacier White / Black Optic cars from 2017... Or wait for these 2018 to show up. Interested to see the front end in person.

I think it will eventually become available. It is already available in Germany, UK and EU markets.

I think, at this point in time, I would recommend to wait, if you can for the sake of the new tech and choices (Coupe, S/B, or Cab). But, on the other hand, I am not sure how willing you are to be an early adopter and go through the first launch headaches that come with newly launched models. At least, the current B8.5 models already have a proven reliability track record.

Rats! No Gotland Green option for the B9 S5 Coupe or SB. Only on the A5 but with very limited interior choices.

Does anyone know whether the Quattro in 2018 A5 sportback is new Quattro Ultra or not?

According to the Audi Media Site (Germany, in English), the A5 SB will have Quattro Ultra. However, information on the Audi Canada website is not clear. It just says Quattro. There is no info on the A5 Sportback or Coupe in the Audi USA Media site that indicates which Quattro the North American version will get.

While I never liked the current US configurator, the Canadian one is worse. Makes no sense to pick out the trim level, then the options, and then transmission option which forces you to pick the trim level again.

Yeah, I agree. Not loving it. I noticed that Audi Canada changed the configurator for the B9 A5/S5 and the new Q5. I like their old style configurator better.
