Default Ordering 2018 A5 Sportback S-Line

Greetings all,

I am from the US and have been living in Germany for the last few years where I've been drooling over the A5 Sportback since I got here. Finally, this awesome car is coming to the USA! So I am thinking hard about jumping on the opportunity to order one in US spec which I will bring back with me when I return (bummer that there isn't a diesel engine option though).

Here's what my buyer's order currently looks like:

2018 A5 Sportback
Premium Plus
S Line pkg
Ibis White
Navi pkg
5-spoke wheels
Cold weather pkg
B&O sound pkg
Black interior

I visited a local German Audi dealership here in Stuttgart and noticed their A5s have fog lights in the lower front valance but I don't see that specifically listed on my 2018 A5 Product Book nor the 2018 A5 Sportback ordering sheet.

Does anyone know if these are included or not?

Thx
-N8

good question...

i mean the devices mounted in the lower corners of the front valance - are those sensors?

The A5 I am ordering will look pretty much like this one (with the sensors? in the lower corners of the grill):

I'm ordering this week, but I'm not in any hurry since I am having it shipped from the Audi plant in Ingolstadt to Colorado where I'll pick it up when I am back stateside.

if you are in Stuttgart then head over to Ingolsdat and go on a tour of the manufacturing there. Its pretty awesome. done it twice ! - and while you are in Stuttgart check out the Porsche plant and tour it ( and their museum ), very cool...

awesome.

For a couple of years i lived about 5 km from the Porsche plant/museum in Zuffenhausen. I've toured it a couple times. Same for Mercedes.

I'm got Ingolsdat on the radar, since I am a huge Franconian bier fan.

Porsche is interested, combo of hand built and automated with some robots, Audi is large scale mass production, less hand work like Porsche but fascinating to see humans and robots working in dandum building all sorts of models - book the english tours first before you go !
