Default Tracking a Canadian Factory Order

Curious if anyone has figured out a way to track Audi of Canada orders through production. I finally managed to get my COMM# but few of the folks that are looking the COMMs up are all US based and have no Canadian order visibility.

I saw the below article few years back. Figured that by now it would be in full support however my dealer is completely unaware of this service, as is AoC as I reach out the them too.

Audi creates online tracking tool to build brand excitement | Marketing Magazine

Anyone had any luck tracking theirs, and if so how?

Thanks in advance!

That MyAudi Order Tracker website is no longer working. I tried using it when I custom ordered my '16 S5 and it did not work just like what my salesman said. Audi Canada is no longer maintaining it.

Your sales person, if he or she is top notch, will be able to give you the details of when it will go through production, when it will ship out from Germany, and when it will arrive at the dealership. If your sales person is lame and unseasoned like mine was, then you'll have to be persistent and get that info from him/her.

For us Canadians, Audi has no way of providing its customers with up to date status reports of your order's progress through production. Anyway, production only takes 5 days from start to finish (Quality Control). So, once you know when it will start, there is no point in giving you up to the minute details of how it is progressing through the factory. From a marketing stand-point, it is possible to do this with factory cameras and their bar-coding system. However, if a strike or a parts shortage would occur, Audi would not want to let this bad news be public knowledge. Fake news spreads far too fast through the internet these days. An occasional parts shortage (supply glitch) for instance, might become a monster in social media because stuff is known to get blown out of proportion when people start discussing it online by injecting unconfirmed rumours or conspiracy theories. This would be akin to gossip.

I am pretty sure my Brand Specialists' (i.e. sales man) experience is limited with these kinds of requests as he was not at all familiar re what I was inquiring about. I even reached out to AoC and they refused to give any insight into available options via very vague message. Not looking for day-to-day updates (even thought Audi UK offers this), just the basics you outlined (production date, EU departure date, dealer arrival date). Looks like my only option is to keep bugging my Brand Specialist.

When I ordered my 2013 they had just introduced the MyAudi Tracker in Canada. I remember there being some glitches with it and some of the links not working. I emailed support and actually had a long email chain with them over the course of tracking my delivery explaining issues I was experiencing and them trying to address them. They said it was a work in progress and they were continually trying to improve the site but I guess they gave up on it. Too bad, it was a cool idea.

I agree, it is a very cool idea from a marketing perspective. A top shelf car manufacturer like Audi should invest in such a service to customers who custom-order vehicles. I know BMW offers such a service. Not sure about Mercedes.

This is a missed opportunity on the part of Audi Canada to promote their brand.

I think the issue was that it was developed and run by a third party. I was looking it up the other day and found mention of it on some web dev site where they had it as part of their marketing material and mentioned it had won some awards.

edit - Here it is http://bimm.com/work/myaudi-tracker

Did you get the "Owner in Waiting" emails? I've seen a few people mention those, wondering if they were for US customers or Cdn. as well.

I just factory ordered my A4 Sline on the 11th and still waiting for the COMM#. Salesperson said I would get it Monday, so we'll see.
What dealership did you order your S5 from? I'm in Vancouver as well and went to Downtown Audi

No, the 'owner in waiting' emails are for US customers only, as far as I know. I purchased my S5 from Audi Langley which is a huge mistake. And, I warn other readers to stay away from this dealership. I am now taking my car in for service and develop great sales relationships at Audi in Burnaby (Open Road). I thoroughly enjoy the service I am getting from this dealership. I regret that I did not purchase my S5 through them. They do deserve my business.

I ordered mine from Downtown, they were on the ball UNTIL the order was placed. now the salesperson is only interested in selling my wife a car (She showed some slight interest in the A3 Etron).
I found out after the fact my youngest sons friends father is the business office manager at Boundary Audi. Had I known I would've gone there.
My brother in law just picked up a '17 SQ5 from Langley, but they were offloading them since the 18's are that much better. Other than that, I've only had experience from Downtown.
Good to know about Boundary Audi. I'll probably be taking my car there for its service
