Needs a new climate control unit. Or else, live with it.

Try this:

The temperature on the climate control and on the dash computer can be easily changed between Celcius and Fahrenheit:

1. Press and hold the recirculation button
2. Twist the temperature up (+) to switch between degrees Celsius / Fahrenheit
3. When satisfied, let go the recirculation button

Did you try pressing the recirc button first and while holding it down, press the temp + then continue to hold both buttons down for a few seconds to see if that saves the setting? It saves on my wife's 2002 allroad doing it that way.

Default I tried that

In my situation even holding it down for several seconds doesn't fix it for more than that drive. I think the person that suggested that there is something wrong with the module may alas be correct for me.

My 2003 does the same thing. You just have to do it every drive. I think if you leave the climate control on when you shut the car down, it will keep it in Fahrenheit when you go to restart.

Default Alas no

At least in my A6 that doesn't work. I ordered a used replacement on eBay. When it arrives I will tell you guys if that fixed it.
