Default 2002 Flooded Allroad 2.7 turbo

Hi guys

My 2002 flooded in recent heavy rain because of a blocked drain and fried the transmission ecu.

Desperately hunting around the forums for a solution. My service agent and Audi themselves do not or cannot find a replacement part. New or second hand.

Id number for this model is 4Z7 927 156 E, I can find 4Z7 927 156 models but not the E.

The insurance company have washed their hands of this so I am faced with a total write off unless I can find a solution.

Can I use the ECU without the E? No one technical seems to know.

Appreciate your thoughts on this.

The E version is the European version. I don't know if you can swap them but there is an E version re manufactured on Ebay at the moment. Not something I would normally purchase by choice but if a new one is not obtainable then this gets the Audi back from the brink.
It would be a shame to write off the vehicle for one ECU.
Search item number 331010484428.

thanks for the link by the way, sorted out the caching issue. For some reason the cache was keeping me out of these areas. Brilliant, I guess the real question is why can the service people and audi not do this. Go people power
