I'm considering buying this car:All Air suspension has been refreshed between 55 and 64k miles including the compressor and manifold at 64k. New brakes and rotors at 67k. Both front outer CV boots were replaced at about 50k. Radiator fan and bearing replaced at 62k. All factory required services were done on time and at the dealership. The timing belt and water pump were done in the last 5k.
It currently has right at 83k miles on it and is being driven although I do not drive very much as the miles suggest. I am the second owner and have been driving it for a little over 6 years.
I can buy it for 7500.00 I do have a question about the transmission though. is there a difference in trannys between 2001 and 2005? the car is in great shape and has been adult owned and never tuned.. I have a 2 yr old daughter and a son on the way (july 8th) I don't have a lot of room for additional expenses but don't want a traditional suv. PLEASE HELP!!!!!

billford01, what actually is your question?
Allroad tranny changed a bit mid-2000, added with sport-mode. It is service free tranny but many owners change the oil and filters to keep smooth shifts and logical behaviour.
So if the car is not tuned and the tranny gives you a good ride, it is fairly reliable. And changing the oil and filters is recommended - although Audi doesn't do it.
Biggest concerns in Allroads are with the suspension and biturbo engine (lambdas, turbos, hoses). So keep airbags clean and check fault codes regularly with VCDS. So Allroad is not the easiest to maintain.
A 2005 diesel Allroad with coil-over suspension would be the easiest...

2005 has the updated torque converter seal which had been a common failure point in allroads earlier than mid-2004. So that is a plus.
As far as price goes, I'd say it's a bit on the high side.

no offence, but that price is just plain unrealistic, based upon it being over a decade old and with the known 'money pit'-like issues related to the AR.

so it looks like you bought the car and are trying to 'flip' it for another $1500. https://www.audiworld.com/forums/veh...t-tip-2883715/

Bill, you're asking $12K for an AR! That's just crazy money, especially on a forum where people actually know what these go for and what the issues are, regardless of the warranty.

I can always cancel the warranty and get a refund...I see cars going for 5-6000 with 120-150k and have issues still. So whats this car worth with low miles and no issues?

I just bought an allroad with similar condition, mileage, and service history for $5k.
$7500 was high. Your price is laughable to anyone who has been watching the market on ARs for more than a week.
