6MT Aftermarket Shifter ***** :: Show Yours
Anybody have a nice, weighted 6MT shifter **** they love? The shifter **** that came with the 6MT swap is a bit worn and I'm looking for a nice weighted shifter ****.
I found this one that is pretty nice (1.62 lbs!):

Not trying to bump... but has anyone had a weighted shifter and/or a metal shifter. My car is always garaged. I'm not concerned about it getting hot, but I guess hard driving could do that too. ****ies! =P

You should check out the "****" offerings from Black Forest Industries. They're making some serious ****. If I were to upgrade, that's the route i'd go. Works of art!

BFI **** - 250 grams / .551 lbs. Billet Aluminum. Generic brushed aluminum with different "coin" inserts based on the option you get. This makes production cheaper. The logo coin is cool, but the 6MT and 5MT coins are a poor design, IMO, that lack attention to detail. The coin top method give the user "options" but is a design made for high profit margins since the **** is reused regardless of the coins for that brushed style. Good business sense, at least.
Raceseng Ashiko **** - 735 grams / 1.62 lbs! 303 Stainless Steel. IMO, the 6MT engraving has more attention to detail, as a design, opposed to cheap looking 6MT/5MT coins the BFI use. The gate design is not typical, spherical gate design incorporating the "R" from their logo as the reverse "R" in the gate design. The shifts will feel a lot more effortless too since the Raceseng shift **** is approx. 3x heavier.

Wow! You've done yer research. Lol! I feel astetically, the BFI option (with the logo coin) is far more pleasing but your aluminum option is definitely one heavy son of a bitch. Cant argue that!

Raceseng is 303 Stainless vs BFI billet aluminum. Both are quality designs. I just think the Raceseng is higher quality and obviously will give you a better "weighted" feel, but to each their own. Crest coin vs Custom Gate design.
