Default Anyone know of a radiator removal tutorial?

I am searching and I really cant find anything for an allroad radiator replacement tutorial. Do I have to pull the front bumper and then the tranny cooler off the radiator and then tilt the radiator out once all hoses are removed? It looks like the piece that sits around the radiator is a huge solid plastic piece leaving me to believe you tilt the radiator forward out of it. I had an exploding fan awhile ago and I think the JB welt patch might have not done the trick. 160k I am guessing its time anyways, just another thing to fix on this bastard!

I think the thing I am most concerned about it when I pull the transmission cooling lines from the radiator can I fill the radiator with fluid or should I fill it normally from under the car at the pan? Thinking I need to do the filter and drop the pan possibly instead of just filling it. It's always something with this car.

You can pull the bumper into the service position, and access everything needed for removal.

As for filling the transmission, you need to follow the specific procedure for these cars. It requires it to be perfectly level, and fill from the transmission.

Cool thanks, was thinking I need to fill the tranny if I put in a new radiator. Do you know off hand if I need the 17 1/2" core radiator or the 15 11/16" core ? 2002 audi allroad, guessing one might just be bigger and cool better?

Also there is a side fill plug? I thought you had to pump fluid up from under the pan?
