Audi a6, quattro 2.7t, 2003 has gear lever problem,

When the ignition is on, the brake shoe light on the console is illuminated but the car will not shift even by depressing the break all the way, when the illumination goes off after a few minutes, I am able to shift

The ABS error is on the dashboard

And nowadays the car lurches forward when I shift to drive or reverse

The brake lights work

I have replaced the brake light switch but no success.

When the illumination on the brakeshoe goes off, I can shift the gear without a problem

Sometimes, I have had to restart the car several times.

I have checked nearly all fuses, by removing them one by one, cannot seem to see any bad ones

i had that on my 2001 a6 quattro, it was to things i did, changes the bulb holders for the right back side and the air massmeter then my car stopped to crak into gear and stopped locking the gear, another friend he had floded car the drain under the winshield wiper was blocked and he had water in the car and his car did what you tell now

Yah everything shifted good until it sat for a month or so till I got around to fix the coolant flange that was leaking

It grinds and pops it out. But the car will move when put into reverse 5th and sometimes 4th

This is a software issue the car isny telling to open up the shifter, if you now what I mean. This is not supposed to happen take it to a audi dealer
