Default Some specific RS4 Replica Wheels - Thoughts?

Can someone confirm whether these wheels will work with my stock 2001 allroad?

Vortex RS4 replica wheels

The dimensions and offset are identical to some Hartmann wheel setups that were validated on www.allroadfaq.com.

$649 for a set of four wheels, and sometimes they even have free shipping. (About a $120 savings.)

Your thoughts?

That adds $175 to the cost, plus longer studs....$60?...adds up.

Default Re: Educate me, please...why do I need spacers?

The follow-up below This one makes it sound as if spacers are not necessarily required...who is right?

Can you explain why I do or do not need spacers?

Can you walk me through the calculation that led you to specify 12-20 mm spacers?

And what makes a "good quality" spacer? Who would I buy them from?

Thanks for your help! I am trying to learn.

Default allroads are designed to use a 20 or 25mm offset, higher will rub...

components to the inside such as control arms. My post was in agreement with Judge AR, just adding detail. See the tech' article at Tire Rack regarding the situation. 19" wheels generally clear at 25et, 18"s seem to need a 20et. Different wheel & tire widths require different offsets. But 35 will never work in any case. You mentioned the arFAQ page, look at the spacer column to the right of the offset column. There are hundreds of posts about this in the archives.

Click

Default They don't know their fitments and the wheels are almost certainly Chinese made

Those wheels won't fit half the cars they have listed.
Everyone at Hartmann owns a German car (or 3) and nobody knows wheel fitments for Audis better. Hartmann Wheels are also among the nicest you can find in the world, they are made in the same foundries that produce OEM wheels and wheels for high end tuning companies.

ht tp://shop.achtuning.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWCATS&Category=699</a
