Default A/C and cooling fans won't shut off after repair

Just had my water pump replaced after it failed with only 45,000 miles on it -grrrr. I had the timing belt and related items replaced as well as the engine was apart anyway.

When I got the car back I noticed that all the fans now run all time and I can't turn the a/c off when I press the Econ button. I can hear the sound of an electronic switch when I press the Econ button but nothing happens. Thought it was strange that the air felt cold even though the temp control was set to 70 degrees.

Mechanic says it's a temperature switch, but I think it's something they did when they put everything back together, as everything was working perfectly before they worked on it. I'm wary of his explanation as the headlight levelers aren't working and the the windshield washer system doesn't hold fluid now either. Don't have a lot of faith left in his attention to detail.

Any thoughts on this are greatly appreciated.

It sounds like you have a lot of issues going on. I would start by checking all the wiring around your intake and fans, to make sure nothing got pinched or broken.
