Has anybody painted the body cladding to match the car?

Default Has anybody painted the body cladding to match the car?

$1000 option from the factory and very few used ones out there with this feature.Has anyone taken their Allroad to the local body shop and had them paint the body cladding.If so,how much? Thanks.

Many did. You're talking 2 bumpers, 4 fender flares and two long side skirts. Depending on the shop, and that might vary A LOT, it is probably anywhere from $800 to 2k to paint these.

I have a bright silver one and this is this one time when it paid off to have silver. Comes out the 3M Vinyl "bright aluminum" is exact match to my paint so I vinyl wrapped instead:

PS...That wheel/tire combo has the PERFECT offset.Nice!

Why do I like the 2nd picture better? Somehow full body paint makes it look like another avant with wide flares...still really cool though!

In 2001 ours was the first full paint AR in Calif, it was done at the Dealer, then the option was $800.
