Default ICM delete coil conversion

I am going by this diagram below.
Just to clarify the wiring (started on passenger side bank cyl 1-3):

ECU pin 94 green/yellow is signal for cyl 3 (pin 3 on new FSI plugs) via brown/grey on ICM plug
ECU pin 110 green/grey is signal for cyl 2 via brown/green
ECU pin 102 white/green is signal for cyl 1 via brown/blue

Also: since the existing coil harness already has ground on 4A (brown/yellow): is there still need to run an extra ground to the cylinder head/valve cover?
And: the existing coil harness pin 15 (red/green) has +12V

What I did:
a) new plug pin 1 connects to red/green (pin 15) of old coil harness
b) pin 2 and 4 combined to old pin 4A (brown/yellow) or old coil harness
c) 4 pin ICM connector with 3 ECU signal wires to 3 pin ICM connector (colors and ECU pins above). Note: 4th pin is ground (brown), left open for now

At least this is how I interpret the diagram.

Checked and double checked.
12V on pin 1. Ground on pin 2 and 4. Signal going to pin 3.

Took this video, showing bank 1 (cyl 1-3 from right to left).
Firing 1-2-3 (or 2-3-1 or 3-1-2). Firing order is supposed to be: 1-4-3-6-2-5 (so 1-3-2 for bank 1).
Will ignore wiring diagram and wire colors and switch cyl 2 and 3. See what that does.
Also confirmed: brown ICM is bank 2 (cyl 4-6, driver side), black is bank 1 (cyl 1-3).
