Default ICM question

Is there any way to test an Ignition Control Module without removing it from the car?

You can swap the two plugs between them to see if the fault changes to the other bank of cylinders. I'm sure there are some specs that you can get from a multimeter but I don't know what they are.

this is the easiest way to check for a bad one.
and if it is indeed bad, replace both if you have the coin, chances are the other will fail soon
