ipod hook up

getting the radio out is easy if you have keys. if not 5.00 to the kid a best buy works too. I've been happy with the old Dension Ice Link. You can find them on Ebay or the new company that took them over. Just keep searching. Keep in mind that most do not work with the Ipod you bought today. They generally work with older Pods and none of them will show artist or track in on the head unit.
I had not heard they don't work with newer iPods, is it because of physical fitment issues with the doc? I have the OEM Audi adapter with the cable (no doc), and don't have any problems with a newer nano.

Dension or Dice: 2005 Allroad with Nav2
Hi
Looks like either the Dice Electronics or the Dension iPod link are the way to go.
Questions:
Is one better or easier to install than the other?
I have an "05 2.7T AT with Navigation screen, MP3 SD slots and Satellite. Audi told me that installation of an iPod jack will force me to give up on either Sat radio or AM/FM but it doesn't sound right. Will either one of these systems work in my car basd on configuration.
I would not expect to operate the ipod through the steering column or Nav console, but would like to hook directly into the Audi sound system to avoid having to use the FM transmitter (which works pretty well)
Have an iPod classic, some threads suggest newer iPods may be a challenge.
While it seems some have done their own install, I am not so mechanically inclined: I am in the Milwaukee area.. who would I go to to have installed?
Thanks
Pete

PS. The radio I ave is the RSNC system
Dension as a product that will work
I am pretty impressed how well the FM transmitter I have works with the iPod. The radio antenna picks up the signal pretty well.
