LED dash display

LED dash display
'Morning everyone!
I have a 2000 A6 Allroad, 2.5 diesel and have covered 12k miles to date.
Cam belt changed this year and front suspension parts replaced - running well!
The red LED display (dash center) has been 'pixilated' to a degree since I've owned her.
On trying to reset the fuel/mileage the display disappeared save for the PNDLR and the top 'check' screen although when initially switching on the complete display lights up (when stationary apply foot brake etc) as soon as a gear is engaged the center display disappears.
Any ideas please?
Also my cruise control has never worked - my Audi engineer came up with a FAULT CODE 1, and left it at that!!
Thanks, Chris

I was aware of this. Tried a few times with no results - however I was sitting in a traffic jam yesterday for an hour and went through the reset sequence again and eventually the display returned !!!!!
Probably some switch cleaner would not go amiss.
Thanks.

You need to check for fault codes With a fault code scanner or vagcd. Maybe you will also receive an answer regarding the cruise control. By the way, you can search Google for "owner manual allroad 2000" There you will get an explanation of all the driver options in your car
