LLTek LED DRL Headlights-Installed! Pics...
Turned out quite nicely, and the upgraded ecode pattern and 6000K color is much better than stock, what I will now call a "blob" of light. Perfect for some stealth DRL's up here in Canadiana. Now I just need to figure out how to get them to simply come with the ignition, ideally without the parking lights, but that's probably not going to happen. I just don't want to crack open the nicely waterproof sealed connections.
LLtek was great to work with. These lights are for the A6 pre-facelift, but I figured since plenty of folks have installed ar lights in their A6's it woudl work. Figured right. Interesting Friday night having fun removing the bumper...
oh, and yes, I need to replace my rings...

you can see the pic which compares them...
the low beams are better IMHO, as they light up more of the side of the road, and just have a clearer look to them. Its like the road is not bathed in light, but more illuminated. Not sure that makes any sense. There is some "scatter" in the light, but I think my eyes are playing tricks, as I am finding myself looking at the beam instead of the road (scary), kind of like when I drove my friend's bmw with the lights that rotate-could not stop looking at that. High beams are pretty much the same, though I am considering putting HID in there as well.
