This has been the case for the last eight years when I have gone to calibrate the suspension with my VAG-COM from Ross-Tech. It will only go through about one in about 50-100 tries. Generally the first attempt has the best outcome, subsequent ones, but not always, are less likely to succeed. I can always get the 01 position read, adjust, test, then save, then 02 goes to red "ERROR" and the notice pops up. Sometimes i can get all the way through 03 and it happens. I tried a fully charged jump box connected to the battery once that worked first try so thought maybe it is a power issue, but this time that doesn't seem to make a difference. I doubt it is a computer issue as I've tried with three different machines even brand new one's with no change. All level sensors are operating, no fault codes other than "control position not learned" at this time. Anyone gone through this and/or found a way to reliably calibrate?

It seemed to work for me once or twice, but bounce on the car, as in push down on a corner or two as its auto leveling to position 2

This is strictly due to some buggy code in allroad engine ECU. I've had this happening all the time until the day when I flashed 01 M-box S4 programming and since then it is rock solid connection.

How can i flash the ECU?

I'm having the exact issue for my 2004 allroad. I just cannot get a connection to re-calibrate the airbags.

Please if anyone have experience this issue, give us the fix for this?
