Need Help: 2005 Shift Lock Solenoid
Hey there AudiWorld! Does anyone know anything about, or has successfully activated the shift lock solenoid? The car is stuck in park and I don't have keys yet (it's a car I just bought at an auction). The car is REALLY hard to move stuck in park...
Any help would be awzomeee!

Make sure you have power going through your brake light switch. It is what activates the shift lock solenoid.
I had a Nissan with this same situation come into my work today, and the bolts that hold the shift lock solenoid backed out. So I took the shifted apart and put the bolts back in with loc-tite to keep this from happening again.
I do not remember ever seeing a shift lock override on the all roads, not even under the panels surrounding the shifter.

As it turns out, there wasn't a shift lock override for this model AR. Not sure if other years/models have one. If you don't have keys, like I didn't, you're only option is to have the keys cut, so you can shift to neutral.
FYI: Cost to have keys cut and programmed was like 400-450$.
