new allroad owner need help!!!
hi everybody,
I recently purchase a 2003 allroad 2.7t with few problems!
replace alternator, tensioner and belt plus re torque the valve covers for few oil leaks on the exaust manifolds.
I keep the big work for last!
I just remove the transmission for no reverse (d drum ).
I'm an auto mechanic in Colorado and I try to fix my reverse.
now I'm in trouble to find the parts.
I can find the d drum used on ebay , but I also need the reverse piston outer o-ring and the 3 rubber pieces inside the fluid passages for the pistons actuation.
I can't find it and I'm start to be worried.
also what color the reverse friction material should look like?
mine are black with no grooves , it is normal?
compare to the rest of the clutch packs they look yellow? gold with the grooves on it.
it is raccomended to do the rebuild kit since the tranny is in pieces?
and witch rebuild/overhaul kit do you guys suggest for price and quality/
thanks

thanks,i will clean the valve body soon,
the transnmission wasn't in limp mode, just loose the reverse for the d drum broke down and spread aluminum in all the transmission,do you know what color is the clutch pack into the reverse drum?it is black with no grooves?
or it is like the rest of the gears gold and with grooves?
