Newer Allroad---is it time to buy??
Hey guys, transman here. Things have been going in a positive direction for a while, and I am starting to feel like its time to move up to a newer Audi.
I was doing some digging to try to put a plan together of what I am looking for. I started with looking on the wiki page for audi allroads (2012-present), to see what was offered in the last few years. The way they have it laid out makes it seem like there is an A4, and A6 allroad. The two pages seem to have some ambiguity as far as clarifying what is offered with what.
I of course want the newer style Allroad, but only if I can get it with the 3.0T motor. I have no preference between the 6 spd manual or the 8spd 8hp70 transmission. But the wiki page says the A6 allroad is offered with the 3.0T and 6speed manual, and that the 6 spd has a low range switch for offroad stuff.
I started looking for this body style with this configuration, and cant find it anywhere, not even on ebay.
I am wondering if it might not be available to the US market.
Any info would be appreciated. Thanks, Transman.

Ugh. I really want one with the 3.0 supercharged with a six speed.
My buddy just bought a new q5 s line and it is pretty sick. Not a bad alternative to an allroad, but I think he paid a good bit for it.
I am just not a big fan of those 2.0 engines. Everything else about the new allroads I like. Even the zf 8hp transmission is practically bullet proof. I am not sure if the ZF 8hp is behind the 2.0 or if its a DSG 8spd auto.

We have the A6 Allroad 3.0 TDI, S tronic available in Australia. (no other option for engine or transmission).
With a price tag of A$124k, the 2004 2.7T got a wash and a polish this week and sits proudly in the garage. I can suddenly live with the maintenance issues!
What would I do with all the spare time if I had a new one?
