It should come as no surprise the C links are Febi crap. I noticed that in my Europa kit. MAN, buying replacement parts for Audi is getting to be a real pain in the ***, with all the Uro, Meyle, Febi, Vemo crap out there.

When i needed a new fan switch in the allroad radiator, it took forever to find a supplier in the US selling the Facet - made in Italy - same part used by VAG. Everyone else has Chinese URO or Mayle. $50 for VAG, $21 for Facet, and $15 for non name China - its all about the money.

And there are now three chineese versions of the infamous coolant temp sensor that we replace so often (luckily the OEM ELTH from Luxembourg is still easy to get and cheap).

Default Upper CA's replaced, lessened the noise

But it's still there. Not as bad as before. I can almost feel ii rattling in the gas pedal more that hear it (but it does rattle and clunk a bit.) Maybe I'm just hyper-sensitive to it now...

Default SOLVED: Failed Strut (Arnott)

Turns out that one of the Arnotts I had installed as part of the coil-over conversion in 2013 had failed. Arnott shipped a warranty replacement, got it installed yesterday. No more rattle!

Glad to hear the problem is solved.
How did you identify which part and could you identify it while on the car or did you take it off?
I have the Arnet air bags, they were fitted by the previous owner.

To be clear, we're talking about coil-overs, not air suspension.

I contacted Arnott, they said the only way to troubleshoot the strut was to swap sides. If the rattle changes sides as well, you have a bad strut. I didn't do this as I was fairly certain is was the strut (having just replaced upper control arms, another possible cause.)

I got in touch with the shop that did the original conversion (in 2013) and they teed up a replacement part to be shipped direct from Arnott to me. I then sent the old one back.
