Vacuum hose tutorial for 2.7t ?
I just picked up a 2.7t 2004 Allroad.
I am experience a vacuum leak I believe. When driving with the rpm's at about 1500 to 2000 the vehicle keeps acting like it is shifting, the rpms go up and then down between 1500 - 2000 rpms. I put the transmission in manual mode and select 3rd or 4th gear and it still continues, so it does not appear that the transmission is shifting.
I do not have a VAG but have a general code reader. Here is what I pulled.
PO421
PO491
PO492
PO300
PO304
After reading about these codes it appears that I should start with replacing some vacuum lines. I was wondering if anyone has a tutorial with step by step instructions on this. As well as where to order the hoses?
Also I attached a picture of a hose that appears loose on top of the engine.
Thanks!

if that is the rear of the valve cover, then i would say that what you have there is part of the PCV hose system and the valve with the orange connector is the n75 valve i believe
for hoses ive been using some leftover silicone vacuum hoses from when i had my volvo
zip tie each end and you should be fine

Thank you for your responding, I appreciate the help. I have been watching videos and reading for days to learn about the 2.7t. Lots to take in compared to my old jeep!
Is it odd to have oil all over that connection? Also what repair manual and vag-com do you recommend getting?
