Vibration through the car

Vibration through the car
I have a mild - thought irritating high frequency vibration through the car (particularly noticeable through the footwell (both driver and passenger) and the accelerator pedal. Gives your foot the tingles after a long drive. I have taken it to the dealer who accepted there was vibration (step 1!) and had it in for a couple of days (under warranty) to check over engine mountings, suspension, transmission but can't find the problem.... They have logged the fault, said keep driving it and when it gets worse, bring it in again.
Any ideas from the experts??
I'm driving a 2004 Allroad 2.5TDI 180, tiptronic with 54k miles.

Remote troubleshoot guessing game: 1.) check your fan blades; 2.) check the bolts on main bearing of
the center drive shaft (very much center under the car)
3.) check for any possible lost weights on your wheels (look for glue residue spots)

Vibration - fault finding...
Thanks for your suggestions. No recent tyre changes, but will check the weights. Fan blades-good idea. No-one think it could be the engine mounts (the Audi diesels are not as smooth as the BMW diesel)?
And no charge from the dealer as car is under the Audi extended warranty...They are prepared to change the engine mounts if the problem is still around in January.

If that was a dedicated stealership then a Tech would ride along with a Stethoscope...
Personally, I love these kind of stealerships, malpractice 1-0-1; Yes, we confirm your car is sick but wait until it drops dead, then we might find the cause.....morons...
Meanwhile find a trusty Indy to check out what's wrong and perhaps a more dedicated and helpful dealer. There are hundreds of possibilities, a worn out bushing or anything else suspension related just as an example.
Have they even bothered to plug in the computer to see what happens under load at higher RPM's?
