Yes, when the continued coolant circulation / after-run pump is activated (ignition off); both fans run at the same time.

I wired the new E fan in to the (removed) pusher fan wires.
Car really nice and hot yesterday, passenger side fan blowing on full tilt, coolant temp quite a bit over the middle.

But: E-fan NOT being turned on.

I REALLY doubt that both fans (V7 and V77 IIRC) are turned on at the same time based on coolant temp (not talking A/C).

Can someone verify (always possible that a brochure may contain a misprint or wrong information)?

Certainly possible that one channel of the fan control module is bad?

From another post:
This can be checked by jumping pins in the "coolant fan control thermal switch" AKA temperature sender in the lower radiator hose on passenger side.

To check the health of the Fan Control Module you simply jump pins 1 and 2 and turn the ignition on. You should get front and rear electric fan on low speed. I got nothing. Next jump pins 3 and 4 to simulate high coolant temperature. You should get both electric fans on high speed. Again I got nothing.

Can someone help me identify and find the "Brown Wire with Green Trace in the factory wiring harness at the connector behind the driver side headlight".

My car: 2002 Audi Allroad.

There a BUNCH of connectors, wires back there. Which connector are they referring to?
Can't really see in the photo. Is it the one with LOTS of small wires?

BRN/GRN goes to PIN#2 on the thermal switch and also the A/C head unit inside the car, I think.

Does your new E-fan turn on when the A/C clutch is activated? Does it turn on at all when shorted to ground? (like if it's connected directly to the battery or what not)

The attached PDF may help. Good luck!

Fan turns on when the relay wire is connected to ground.
The brown with green trace wire is supposed to be switched to ground by the ECU with AC on and coolant temp reached.
brown with green trace wire and largest multiwire connector in that area is very thin.

I spliced the fan relay in, will try today if it works.
