Want to buy - 2 items
Greetings fellow allroaders,
We just got 14 inches of snow in the great north woods of NH - perfect weather for the swiss army knife of cars.
I want to buy front CV joint drive axles. I think these are available re-built with a core allowance. Can anyone recommend a vendor?
Secondly, I remember a post years ago about a stainless steel belly-pan hardware kit. My belly-pan hardware is either missing or rusted. I currently use a handful of nylon ties in place of some of the original screws and nuts.
Would one of our legendary allroaders please help me on these two items?
Thanks in advance,
MontreAl

I've gotten axles from Raxles. I haven't had any issues with them and they also lend you the tools to remove yours if you need them. You do need to send in your OEM core so make sure yours are still OEM. They are a bit more expensive then the other aftermarket new ones but they seem to last a lot longer than those.
As for skid plates there is Evolution that makes an aluminum engine skid plate. They don't make the trans skid plate.

There is also a place in Europe that sells steel engine and trans skid plates but you have the gamble of ordering from over seas (unless you are already over there).

I bought the kit from ECS Tuning that includes all the hardware for the belly pan. I was missing about half of these when I bought my allroad.
