Default What Size Rims & ET for 245/40-18 on 01 Allroad?

Hello everyone!

I just picked up an 01 Allroad and it has the stock 225/55-17 wheels and tires on it. I have a set of 245/40-18 Blizzaks that were the winter tires on my STi that I used to have. I'd hate to see these tires go to waste. Upon doing some research and searching it looks like these can fit. I would just like to hear it directly from some folks that know what size rim works best. Would be great to avoid the use of spacers.

Do I want an 18x8 or 18x8.5 rim?

What's the most desirable offset?

How do I calculate the required offset based on the rims I find for these tires?

Advice? Comments?

Thanks in advance for your replies!

18x8 is fine, and ideally you want around an ET of 25

I guess you already know that 245/40/18 is WAY off the stock diameter ...a full one inch shorter...speedo off (will read high) and higher rpms (on a car that already sucks bad at mpg's).
Appearance-wise, they're gonna look really small in the fender wells...because they are the wrong size (by a lot) for your car.

I was able to get a set of RS6/S4 rims with ET30. I realize these might not be the ideal size but would you just let a set of tires like this go to waste?

Bridgestone Blizzaks mounted on 18" RS6/S4 rims.

Since there is an offset of 30, am I going to need spacers? I think these are actually RS4/S4 Rims. I think the center bore is the same. I bought them 2nd hand thinking they were RS6 rims with a 20ET, so that way they would be a direct bolt on. I think I need 10mm spacers now, no?

No spacer needed with a 30mm offset at a width less than 8.5".

I would sell them and buy a set of the proper size tires. 1" too big fits fine, but 1" too small will just look really out of place. Plus do the tires have the correct load rating for the allroad? It is almost 1000 lbs heavier than an STi.
