I'm new member to this forum. I come here today seeking advice about the 2014 Audi A6 that bought last month in NorCal. The dealer, sold me a few extras - AudiCare, window film, wheel and tire plan, paintless dent repair plan and IBEX. I realized late that the window film was being done by a local shop, so I got screwed because I paid $980 for it! I hear that AudiCare is recommended considering the cost of scheduled maintenance on an Audi. I still have a few days before I could cancel the following for a full refund, so I am looking for some expert advice about if I should keep them or not. Here they are:
1. R.O.A.D InTire Wheel and Tire Protection Plan (5-year road hazard plan - $923): https://www.iasdirect.com/products/RoadInTire.aspx
It's a 5-year plan, and they offer refunds on unused time / miles. The reason I got it is because there is construction going in my office, and my A6 has 19-inch wheels, which could be expensive to replace them. My insurance company (Geico) doesn't offer anything like it.
2. Paintless dent and ding repair plan (5-year $554): https://www.iasdirect.com/products/DoorDing.aspx
I got this for peace of mind, but I am not sure if it's worthwhile considering they only fix small dents and dings up to the size of a credit card. I'm very careful with my automobiles, but I can't predict what's gonna happen at a mall parking lot. The reason for considering to cancel this plan is because all my dent and ding fixes in the last ten years or so involved using touch up paint. I'm not sure how much costs per repair if I have to do it myself.
3. IBEX environmental paint protection and interior protection plan (7-year plan - $985).
I got it because I have small kids who make a mess in the car. I realize that the paint protection may not be that great.
I'm curious if anyone has any experience with these, and if anyone could weigh in about if I should keep them or not.
